Job Summary:
Prime Hire is recruiting an experienced General Manager for a premium hospitality and nightlife brand in Ikoyi, Lagos to lead the day-to-day operations of the business, strengthen key commercial and stakeholder relationships, and ensure consistent standards across service, people, financial performance and guest experience.

The General Manager will serve as the senior operational leader, responsible for day-to-day business performance, team accountability, service standards, financial controls and overall guest experience.

We are looking for a hands-on, commercially minded leader who can bring structure and accountability to a fast-paced operation while maintaining the high standards expected of a premium hospitality brand.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day operations and ensure effective coordination across departments.

  • Lead managers, supervisors and team members, setting clear expectations and maintaining accountability for performance.

  • Monitor service standards and ensure a consistently strong guest experience.

  • Oversee staffing, scheduling, performance management, discipline and other people-management matters.

  • Support recruitment, selection and onboarding of employees as required.

  • Monitor revenue, operating expenses, inventory, cash controls and other key financial and operational indicators.

  • Identify operational gaps, cost-control opportunities and areas for improved efficiency or profitability.

  • Ensure company policies, procedures, health, safety and operational standards are consistently followed.

  • Manage significant guest, employee and operational issues and ensure appropriate resolution and escalation.

  • Provide ownership with clear reporting on operational performance, staffing, financial concerns and significant business matters.

  • Work collaboratively with relevant teams responsible for reservations, events, promotions and VIP service to support overall business performance.

  • Build, maintain and manage strong working relationships with Silk Lagos' key external partners and stakeholders, including media partners, brand partners, kitchen and commercial partners, and corporate clients.

  • Serve as a key point of contact for ongoing partner relationships, proactively addressing issues, resolving gaps and escalating material concerns where necessary.

  • Identify opportunities to strengthen existing partnerships and develop new relationships that support Silk's commercial, operational and brand objectives.

  • Support the negotiation, coordination and successful execution of partnership initiatives in collaboration with ownership and other relevant team members.

  • Maintain appropriate visibility over active partnerships, agreed deliverables, commitments and outstanding obligations.

Required Skills & Tools:

  • Relevant experience in hospitality, F&B, nightlife, leisure or a comparable service-led environment.

  • At least 2 years of management or senior operational leadership experience.

  • Restaurant, lounge, nightlife or hospitality management experience is strongly preferred; candidates from adjacent industries with strong operational leadership experience will also be considered.

  • Demonstrated experience managing teams, performance and day-to-day business operations.

  • Strong understanding of revenue management, cost control, inventory, cash controls and operational reporting.

  • Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving and decision-making skills.

  • Commercially minded, organized and comfortable taking ownership in a fast-paced environment.

  • Professional, assertive and able to manage different personalities while maintaining a positive team culture.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification preferred; strong relevant experience may substitute.

  • Comfortable working full-time, on-site in Ikoyi according to operational requirements.

  • Immediate availability is strongly preferred.
